Bicycle Safety Tips
from the U.S.
Consumer Product Safety Commission:
• USE A BICYCLE HELMET
flat atop your head, not tilted back at
an angle.
Make sure it fits snugly and does not obstruct
your field of vision.
•
Make sure your bicycle is properly adjusted,
check your brakes, check your wheels
•
Wear bright fluorescent colors during the
day so you will be seen.
•
Avoid riding your bike at night. If you
do, make sure it has head and tail lights
and wear reflective clothing.
• Be alert and watch for obstacles
in your path.
•
Ride with traffic
•
